Description

The insulated “Sarmat” Terracotta Tandoor with hinged lid is a modern wood-fired oven made from chamotte clay with efficient thermal insulation. It is suitable for outdoor kitchens, backyards, terraces, cottages and year-round outdoor cooking.
Brief
The tandoor retains high heat for up to 6–8 hours, allowing several batches of food to be cooked after one firing. The insulated construction is especially practical in colder seasons and helps reduce firewood consumption.

Functionality
The tandoor can be used for skewers, steaks, poultry, fish, vegetables, pilaf, baked goods and slow-roasted dishes. Heat is distributed evenly from the tandoor walls, helping food stay juicy, aromatic and naturally flavorful.
Thermal insulation
The construction includes a ceramic inner chamber, 2 foil layers, basalt fiber insulation and an outer shell made from high-strength concrete. The outer body heats up very little, while heat is retained inside for much longer.

Hinged lid
The hinged lid fits tightly to the body and helps keep heat inside. The one-hand opening mechanism makes use more convenient and removes the need for a separate lid stand.

Heat control
The model is equipped with a thermometer, an adjustable air vent and a fixed stainless steel small cap. The cap helps control airflow and temperature, while the air vent allows stronger heat for browning or gentler airflow for slow roasting.
