Description
Monolith smoking pellets are suitable for all types of grills (coal or gas) and give dishes a subtle smoky flavor. The pellets are made from a type of wood without bark and thus offer the pure flavor of wood.
The advantage over smoke chips is that the high density of the pellets produces about 2-3 times more smoke and the pellets do not need to be soaked in water before use.
The smoking pellets are suitable for all grills:
For charcoal grills
Place the wood pellets directly over the hot coals (on the MONOLITH via the rail/slider system) and close the lid of the charcoal grill. They release smoke for about 7-8 minutes, which gives the grill a fine smoky flavor. For a more intense flavor, the process can be repeated more often.
MONOLITH rail/slider system
Open the hatch of the smoking unit and insert the smoking rail into the monolithic ceramic grill. Place the smoking pellets/smoking wood on the smoking rail. Use the slider to push the smoking pellets directly into the embers, then remove the smoking bar and close the flap.
For gas grills
Place the wood pellets in a smoker box. Then place the smoker box on the grill or next to the burner and close the grill lid. In 5 minutes the smoke is produced.
Application in smokers
The smoking pellets are placed directly on the embers in the hearth and the lid of the hearth must be closed. The resulting smoke passes through the cooking chamber and creates the fine smoky flavor there.
