Description
The Samura #400 grit water sharpening stone is a single-layer abrasive block with a very coarse grit, designed more for knife repair and restoration than for regular sharpening. It is used when a significant amount of metal needs to be removed from the blade.
Brief
#400 grit is suitable for rough grinding work: restoring blade geometry, aligning the cutting edge and removing serious blade defects.
Functionality
This sharpening stone can remove chips, nicks and signs of heavy wear. If necessary, it can also help adjust the blade thickness when the knife is heavily worn or requires deeper restoration.
Working process
The stone is used at the rough processing stage before further sharpening with a finer grit. It is suitable for cases where regular sharpening is no longer enough and the cutting edge needs proper restoration.
Non-slip base
The set includes a special rubber platform. During use, the stone is placed on this base, keeping it securely fixed on the table and preventing slipping while sharpening.
